This work is possible through relationship with wild mustangs. Wild horses born free, rounded up by the BLM, held in government pens, and auctioned off. At Rugged Ranch, our rescued wild horses roam free without stalls, with room to graze, move, and stay in community with each other, close to natural habitat. I train them the long way, through time, trust, and earned connection, without breaking their spirit.
I've learned that what it takes to reach the spirit of a wild horse is the same thing that releases the wildness inside a human being.
